I always love coming here. Good authentic food. Seems to be a a busy place.
After coming to the Easter brunch & Thanksgiving brunch the last couple of years, how disappointed I was at this past Thanksgiving brunch. While waiting for the last of my party to arrive, I requested a "cup" of coffee, only to given a styrofoam cup.Than when going to eat the dessert, the pumpkin pie was still frozon.Your price went up and the service went down.
Holy overeating, Batman.Yep, prepare yourself, people. Huge portions. Tasty foods. Margaritas. Beware! We came in from out of state, and the kind staff happily brought our family in, all 36 of us, plus my 1 service dog, and treated us like kings. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures, except Grandma wearing the Birthday Sombrero!
Authentic atmosphere and delicious food. This place is a gem in downtown beloit.
Heard they stealing ppls money so don’t pay with card smh
Stay away... The food was horrible. Cold, salsa looked and tasted as if it came out the can. Server was nice... but the food was so gross. We ordered this “dip” it came in a huge bowl enough for 10 people... canned beans with cheese and I’m guessing sour cream. We tried to cancel our order but it was too late... we boxed it up and gave it to our dogs. Don’t let the nice interior fool you... it is very nice inside...but... the food is NOT. Coming all the way from Rockford IL thinking they might be pretty good... I was wrong.
A once enjoyed restaurant has sadly become a place to avoid. Don't know what changed or why, but we've had 3 consecutive bad dining experiences. 10 minutes before we saw our waitress, 50 minutes before we had food. Not what we expect in any restaraunt.
Corrected review! I did NOT mean to rate this place a one star... I love Casa Grande! I can only theorize that my phone was unlocked in my purse and that's how the one star got posted... They have great margaritas and homemade queso. Adore the bartender/server, Levi - so kind and helpful. I come to Casa Grande every time I'm in town for work (which is basically every other week) because they have good food and great service!
Great food and service. We enjoyed the experience and will likely host a wedding rehearsal dinner at La Casa.
Had our year end school banquet here for robotics. The tacos were great and service fantastic.
Burritos are good. Actually most of the food is decent, but it’s not actual Mexican food. The real atrocity is that they don’t put pineapple on the tacos al pastor. This also isn’t run by Mexican owners so I understand why the food is so Americanized, but that should be specified in the menu. This is not an authentic Mexican restaurant.
Thanks Peter, Nathan and staff for an awesome experience tonight. Very satisfied with the great service and food. You served all 31 of us wonderfully! Will definitely be back!! My out of town family only has good things to say!!Thanks again, Jamie
I remember this place having decent food a couple years ago, however tonight's take out was HORRIBLE, I mean not a single item was etable. Meat tasted old, tamales looked like they were cooked in a microwave and for far to long, they were burnt, rock hard and dry. Even their sour cream tasted like it hit its expiration date quit a while ago. Defiantly recommend going to another restaurant.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!
Hubby and I both ordered a chicken taco salad. Good chicken and incredible romaine lettuce! It was a bit bland and plain with not much else in it. Onion, tomatoes, some poblano peppers would have made a huge difference!
This used to be our favorite place for Mexican food, but it seems to have lost its luster. The food was just okay. Did this restaurant change hands since the last visit six months ago?
Beats most chain Mexican restaurants. A warm and inviting atmosphere with pitchers of margarita, an outdoor patio, and a large banquet hall with balcony.
They have excellent authentic mexican food, great drink selection. Very personable staff. I recommend their chicken chimichangas they are delicious and they have excellent strawberry margaritas. Very nice atmosphere. They have it decorated beautifully. Great place for a date or an anniversary. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant around! Very affordable with plentiful portions. I highly recommend this place for a great dining experience!
There was a whole meal missing, food tasted gross, and bugs were found in the nachos. absolutely disgusting.
Great 1st time experience . Food was amazing
We were shoved into a small booth with 4 people, very uncomfortable. Food was slow to come out and it was good. Bartender made good drinks. Waitress nice.
Great food, strong drinks...
It was pretty good. But not enough for a fourth star, sorry that's just how it seemed. All 4 people with me agreed.
The service is good, the food gets there fast and it always good.
Order my food for pick and pay then someone gave themselves a tip charging my card extra money like I never had to give a tip to McDonald’s employees so why would they do that to me and I just found out they did it to some other young man I would never go anywhere where they steal
Waited for my food for a whole hour, while other people who came in later after me, got their food in 15 minutes.
Food was dry, the tortillas were microwaved, and so was the rice. Service is always good but the food hasn’t been lately. 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾
I walked in to a super classy restaurant/bar expecting to pay high prices, but for a little more than a taco bell visit I got a giant burrito that I couldn't finish, fully loaded with a bunch of veggies and slathered in melted cheese.my server was also very lovely, she gave me a little sample of queso to go with my chips and made a good recommendation of the burrito. it was a fantastic visit and I'm glad definitely loved up to the recommendation I got
Nice place. Good food, especially the soups. Good specialty margaritas.
It took over an hour when I was told within the hour. The food was cold and the meat tasted old. Could not finish the food. This is sad. I gave it two stars because the delivery guy was very pleasant.
Been here a few times now. The food was good (maybe a little too plain as I prefer my Mexican spicy). Next time I will ask for spicy and see. Prices are reasonable.
Second time in last 2 orders the chips were stale . A Mexican restaurant that serves stale chips. nice
Serice was poor. Waited a long time for waiter to refill drinks, see if we needed anything. Food was warm at best. We use to go there several times a month. We will not be back.
Why isn't the Botana Grande a mix anymore?Use to get 1beef 1chicken & 1shredded steak of each appetizer 3 Quesadillas, 3 Quesos, 3 Small Crispy Tacos, and 3 Chimichangas. Also, they'd come with a side of tomato, lettuce, and beans. It was a delicious variety & I miss it! Lol
The food was great, it needs to be remodeled. The person who sat us wouldn't take our order, but sat another family down and took their order while we waited for a server. Weird.
Great food great service
Very good food and pleasant, attentive servers. Prices are very reasonable especially in relation to quality a real value. Drinks very tasty, had margaritas. Fajitas have excellent portions and a good amount of toppings. Nice location near river and free parking. Great experience.
Great place. Really good food.
Price was great.. a little dated, but friendly and very good food
Tear it down and start over. Dark, dingy and dirty. Food was not that good.
Good food. Dusty and musty smelling dining room. Our booth had a shelf decor with thick layers of dust and webs. Carpet Smells dirty noticed right away as we walked in.
Just called them. Guy was so rude I hung up..
Our waitress was very nice but our food was awful. It had no flavor. Will not be coming back.
As close to truly authentic Mexican food as you will find in the Beloit.
It was good food the stakes are grate and so is the Guacamole
I've heard good things about this place so i ordered for the first time. I'll get the negatives out of the way first. My wife got the grande quesadilla... except they discontinued it. Im not sure why it was never mentioned while ordering it on the phone? Instead she got 3 almost flavorless smaller quesadillas. The rice tastes exactly like rice a roni and nothing like authentic Mexican rice. The beans... probably the most flavorless thing I have ever tasted. The steak chimichangas were good...the chicken ones not so much. I will probably never go back here. Fiesta Cancun is way better than this place. Fiesta tequila is still the best in my opinion.
First time ever that I had a horrible experience there. Service was a mess and food not only took forever but came out like it was thrown on the plate. We talked with the manager and he corrected a few things. We also saw other's not getting waited on, having to talk to the manager and some got up and left because of no service. I have gone here for years, please get stuff together and working good again.
Needs better lighting so it's easier to read the menus but very good
